The interesting part is the rule itself, since it is a definition of "perennial" rather than "popular". A link is inducted on 5 or more submissions from 3 or more distinct submitters across 3 or more active years, with 2 qualifying breakout events from different submitters at least 720 days apart. Front-page score alone does nothing; a link that hit 1,000 points once and was never posted again does not qualify.
