# Armin Ronacher (lucumr.pocoo.org)

Armin Ronacher's personal blog, running since the late 2000s. He created Flask and Jinja2, co-founded Sentry, and (as of 2026) is building Pi — a coding-agent platform. The blog mixes Python ecosystem opinion, infrastructure essays, language-design takes (Rust, Zig), and increasingly LLM-product perspectives.

The 2026 posts skew toward making local LLMs and agent tooling actually usable — see [[lucumr-local-models]] for his take on stack fragmentation and the `pi-ds4` extension wrapping antirez's `ds4.c`. He also co-evangelizes the [[titit-local-ai]] line of argument: cloud LLM economics and locality concerns are pushing serious builders toward open-weights local stacks, but the UX needs work before that's a usable position for anyone outside the experimenter caste.
